I offer my clients a combination of experience and attributes that have earned me a reputation as a highly respected Home Inspector. As a nine year veteran, I have worked hard to build that reputation by being professional, consistent, thorough, and by making the inspection a pleasing and educational experience for my clients.

A construction related background
My diverse construction related background of over 10 years started at the age of 16, where I spent my summers remodeling properties with a real estate investor. It continued upon joining the Santa Cruz local carpenters union where I spent the next three years in their apprenticeship training program. The apprenticeship program required attending construction technology classes twice a week, and training under journeymen until graduation. I left the carpenters union to work for a contractor who specialized in building beautiful custom homes throughout the Aptos and Santa Cruz areas. I also spent time as a production framer, an interior finish carpenter, and a custom hardwood stair installer.

Technical knowledge
I attended and graduated the highly respected “TWI” home inspection academy in 1998. Upon returning I joined a local home inspection group, and field trained for two months under the founder, who was one of the most highly respected Home Inspectors in the Sacramento area. I was shortly thereafter hired by “Inspectech”, a corporate home inspection company and was required to attend academic training classes, and work along side a field trainer for 100 inspections. I have continued my inspection education through seminars, self education, and training offered by my association.

Attention to detail
One of the most important attributes that determines the ability of an Inspector is his attention to detail. I have always had a keen eye for detail, and that gift was further sharpened by 20 years as an Army Helicopter Instructor Pilot, and 9 years as a Home Inspector.

Communication skills
I take great pride in my ability to explain the conditions found during the inspection in a manor that is easily understood by any client. The verbiage in my report is also written in an easily understood manor.
